Dairy Queen Fun!

The Plattsmouth Dairy Queen was giving a free mini blizzard to anyone who brought in a letter for a US Service Member, and Erin Purdy had the great idea of getting the kids together for a craft day and ice cream outing! We spent the morning crafting and fellowshipping at the Purdys house and then headed over to Dairy Queen. We haven't really been out for ice cream since starting Primal eating(we have eaten it at home for holidays and birthdays...I'm not totally mean), so it was a fun day for our kids. Bree asked me on the way over there, "Where does the dairy queen live?" I guess she forgot what a Dairy Queen was!

Here are most of the kiddos with their cute letters!

M&M Blizzards....gone in like 2 minutes flat.

Gutter Ball!

Well, no gutter balls for the kids at least. We went bumper bowling last night with our good friends Larry and Kalia, and their adorable kids. This was the first bowling experience for our kids and definitely an activity we will be repeating in the future! Really really good family fun!

Aaron teaching Elle how to roll the ball

After a lesson or two she was able to do it on her own!

We had a separate lane for the mommies and daddies. Kalia was the champ of the night and beat us all, although none of us broke 100! It was the distraction of the kids....yeah....definitely...

A Summery Summary

Here are a few highlights from our busy and super fun summer!

A visit from cousins Caity and Jackson all the way from Oregon! We spent some time downtown at Spaghetti Works and checked out the sights.

SOTO Festival! Two days of extreme fun at an outreach festival Candlewood put on. Lots of people showed up and got to hear the gospel(YAY), testimonies, and some great music from the worship teams. The kids had a wonderful time. Two bounce houses...need I say more?

The police showed up....

We visited the Hot Shops open house. The kids watched a really cool demonstration on some type of water/oil marbleizing. Really beautiful stuff.

Trever and Aubrie's Wedding!
We headed to Kansas to help Trever and Aubrie celebrate their big day. Aaron sang in the wedding, I accompanied him on the piano, and the kids were ring bearer and flower girl. They took their jobs very seriously :) It was a beautiful wedding and a perfect day.
Here are the proud ring bearer and flower girl. They both did marvelously!

Bree & Cousin Calvin, the other ringbearer

Aunt Karrie!

Aaron and I with the beautiful bride and handsome groom.

Aaron did a little work on the front of the house. We got a little landscaping and a new boardwalk put in!

Our water bill was a little high this summer....I think the hose was out almost every day.

We spent some time at the Lake on various occasions.

Elle at the lake, enjoying either cookies or dirt....

Grant with his homie Naldo

Rylan and Uncle Cole

The lake was really high this year, so no sandy beach :( We had to settle for mud.

Summer showers and winter boots

You know Summer is drawing to a close when the school supplies are on sale!
Here are the kids with their new pencil boxes and crayons.

Tried to get a picture of all four at Becca Whitney's grad party last a few weeks ago. No such luck.

Tube City Pics!

Here are pics from one of our new favorite places to play. Kalia just discovered it! The kids love that it's a crazy amount of tubes and amazing things to crawl through, complete with TWO ball pits and tons of rides, and even a huge blow-up slide. I like that it's really cheap - $4 a person AND it comes with 8 ride tokens and lunch. Not a bad lunch either, in my opinion. Choice of pizza, hot dog, or chicken strips with fries or chips and pop. It's called Playdaze, but Stacy has dubbed it "Tube City." If you watch The Office, you will get this reference and understand the hilarity of it all.....if not, you can just trust me - it's funny.

I've pretty much given up on trying to get any number of 4 year-old boys to just smile.

Isabel. Not so sure about the balls, but she quickly came around.

Grant and Wesley. Wesley's crawling!!!

Apparently there was a mix up in the factory. She ordered it in hot pink.

Giant slide.
